Tonight stays mostly clear with a low around 76. NWS Las Vegas has an Extreme Heat Warning in effect Thursday, September 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. MST for the Northwest Deserts zone that includes Kingman and Golden Valley. Drink fluids, limit midday outdoor work, and do not leave kids or pets in parked cars.
City Hall
City of Kingman Public Works wraps up the Labor Day trash makeup today. Tuesday customers get pickup Wednesday, September 9. Put cans at the curb by 6:00 a.m. Regular collection days resume after this adjustment.
Around Town
The Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission holds its regular hearing today at 10:00 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Auditorium at 700 West Beale Street in Kingman. The public may appear and be heard. Agenda packets are on the county Planning and Zoning Commission page, or stop by Development Services at 3250 E. Kino Avenue.
Board of Supervisors members may attend the Mohave County Airport Authority Board meeting today at 9:00 a.m. at the Bullhead City School District Board Room, 1004 Hancock Road. County notice says no legal action will be discussed or taken at that attendance.
ADOT work continues on the I-40/US 93 West Kingman interchange after last week’s Beale Street tunnel opening. Expect daytime and nighttime construction plus lane restrictions while crews keep paving ramps on the $106 million job, now about 80 percent complete. Beale Street exits from I-40 and US 93 stay open for downtown and Route 66 access.
