Tonight stays mostly clear with a low around 77. An Extreme Heat Warning from NWS Las Vegas remains in effect from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. MST for the Northwest Deserts zone that includes Kingman and Golden Valley. Drink fluids, limit midday outdoor work, and do not leave kids or pets in parked cars.

Mohave County Personnel Commission meets Tuesday, September 15, at 9:00 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room at 700 W. Beale Street in Kingman, with a possible continuance Wednesday, September 16, at 9:00 a.m. The public meeting notice is on the county News & Notices page.
County notice also sets a Board of Supervisors hearing for Monday, November 16, at 9:30 a.m. at 700 W. Beale Street on proposed gate rate adjustments at the Mohave Valley and Cerbat Landfills. Mohave County Environmental Quality holds a free septic permit workshop Wednesday, September 16, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Boriana Conference Room at Development Services, 3250 E. Kino Avenue. Property owners, builders, and contractors can register through the county workshop notice; seating is limited.
ADOT says Monday-through-Thursday daytime lane closures continue today on I-40 between Stockton Hill Road and Beale Street (mileposts 51-48). Expect one-lane traffic from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and delays up to about 15 minutes while West Kingman interchange work keeps moving toward a 2027 finish. Beale Street exits from I-40 and US 93 stay open for downtown and Route 66 access.
