Today’s Weather
Kingman wakes up to a clear Labor Day morning. The National Weather Service calls for mostly sunny skies and a high near 90, with calm winds turning west-southwest at 5 to 9 mph this afternoon.

Tonight stays mostly clear with a low around 70. There are no active NWS watches, warnings, or advisories for the Kingman city forecast zone as of this morning. The week trends drier and warmer, with Tuesday climbing toward the mid-90s and Wednesday near 100.

City Hall

City of Kingman offices are closed today, Monday, September 7, for Labor Day and reopen Tuesday. Public Works has no residential or commercial trash service today. Monday customers get pickup Tuesday, September 8, and Tuesday customers get pickup Wednesday, September 9. Put cans at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on the adjusted day. KART transit is not running today either.

Around Town

Mohave County’s Board of Supervisors regular meeting shifts to Tuesday, September 8, at 9:30 a.m. in the Board Auditorium at 700 W. Beale Street, because the first Monday of the month falls on the holiday. County libraries and bookmobile service are also closed today and resume Tuesday.

ADOT work continues on the I-40/US 93 West Kingman interchange after the new Beale Street tunnel opened last week. Expect daytime and nighttime construction plus lane restrictions while crews pave the new ramps. Beale Street exits from I-40 and US 93 stay open for downtown and Route 66 access.

Board of Supervisors members may attend the Mohave County Airport Authority Board meeting Wednesday, September 9, at 9:00 a.m. at the Bullhead City School District Board Room, 1004 Hancock Road. No legal action will be discussed or taken at that attendance. County Environmental Quality is also hosting a septic permit workshop Wednesday, September 16, for property owners and builders working through the permit process.
