Kingman Man Killed in Bullhead City Pursuit Crash; Teens Facing Charges

A Kingman man was killed early Monday, September 14, 2026, in a head-on crash during a Bullhead City police pursuit, according to Bullhead City police and the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

DPS identified the driver who was killed as Jeremy M., 32, of Kingman.

Around 4 a.m., a Bullhead City police patrol supervisor saw a vehicle speeding on Hancock Road and started a pursuit, police said. The vehicle continued south on Highway 95 toward Fort Mohave and went out of sight.

Officers later saw the same vehicle heading north on Highway 95 and started a second pursuit. Police said the driver again refused to stop. The vehicle crossed into oncoming lanes and struck another car head-on about two miles from the Arizona-Nevada border.

Jeremy M. died in that crash.

Kingman police said the fleeing vehicle, a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, had been stolen from the 3500 block of North Bond Street in Kingman. The owners did not know the car was gone overnight until police contacted them after the crash.

Four juveniles and an 18-year-old from the stolen vehicle were taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to local reporting consistent with the DPS account.

DPS said five suspects are in custody.

The driver was identified as a 15-year-old boy from Redlands, California. DPS said he was booked for first-degree homicide, two counts of unlawful flight, a weapons misconduct violation, and a felony parole violation warrant from the Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections.

The passenger, Matthew S., 18, of Kingman, is being charged with first-degree homicide, with DPS saying more charges are possible.

The other suspects, all juvenile residents of Kingman, face charges tied to possession of stolen property and for being runaways, according to DPS.

DPS said the investigation into the September 14 crash is ongoing.

This crash is separate from a Bullhead City hit-and-run on the night of September 8, 2026. In that earlier case, Bullhead City police responded to a person in the roadway at Lee Avenue and Sixth Street. Police later said Kelsey F., 30, was struck and killed, and the driver fled. Nicky P., 61, of Bullhead City, was later arrested in Laughlin in connection with leaving the scene of that fatal collision. That incident involves a different victim, different date, and different arrest path.

Local outlets including 3TV/CBS 5, the Kingman Daily Miner, and The Standard reported the same core facts on the September 14 pursuit crash: Kingman victim, stolen Kingman car, Bullhead pursuit, head-on near the state line, 15-year-old California driver, Kingman passenger facing a homicide charge, and other Kingman juveniles held on stolen-property and runaway-related charges.
