Community in Mourning: Flags at Half-Staff
Kingman and the broader Arizona community are observing a solemn weekend as Governor Katie Hobbs has ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff on Saturday and Sunday.
The tribute honors two local heroes, Pilot Robert Skankey and Trooper-Paramedic Hunter Bennett, both Kingman residents who lost their lives when their Kingman-based DPS helicopter crashed during an active-shooter response in Flagstaff earlier this week.
A community candlelight vigil was held at the Mohave County Fairgrounds to remember their sacrifice.
