Community Mourns Loss of Local Pilot
The Kingman community is grieving the death of resident Robert Skankey, a veteran pilot for the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS), who was killed in a helicopter crash Wednesday night. The accident occurred in Flagstaff while Skankey and a trooper-paramedic were providing aerial support during an active shooter situation. Skankey was highly regarded locally for his involvement with the Young Marines and his church. Memorials have been established to honor the fallen crew.
