Public Safety
Mohave County’s county-wide fire restrictions remain in effect across all four fire zones in unincorporated areas. The county enacted the restrictions in late May citing high temperatures, low humidity, dry vegetation, and sustained winds — conditions that elevate wildfire risk across the region.
The Mohave County Department of Public Health confirmed earlier this month the county’s first Sin Nombre Hantavirus death, in coordination with the Arizona Department of Health Services. The county has not released additional details about the case.

Around Town
The Mohave County Recorder’s Office is reminding voters of deadlines ahead of the July 21, 2026, Primary Election. The office issued updated voting information on June 1, covering registration deadlines and ballot selection requirements. Voters who haven’t designated a political party ballot were given a 90-day notice in late April.
