County Fair

The Mohave County Fair runs through Sunday, Sept. 20 at the fairgrounds on Fairgrounds Blvd. Expo halls are open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today. Carnival hours today are noon to 11 p.m. Adults pay $10. Kids 5 to 12 pay $5. Parking is free.

Andy Devine Days

The Kingsmen Andy Devine PRCA Rodeo is at the fairgrounds tonight. Gates open at 5 p.m. The show starts at 7 at Martin Swanty Arena. Saturday’s performance starts at 2 p.m. The 56th Andy Devine Days Parade starts Saturday at 10 a.m. downtown from First and Beale to Fifth.

Great Wars Festival

The Museum of the Great Wars holds its first fall festival and car show Saturday, Sept. 26. Hours are noon to 4 p.m. at Kingman Church of the Nazarene on Stockton Hill. Admission is free. Classic cars and military vehicles will be on the lot.

Flying Fortress

ADOT says the Flying Fortress Parkway interchange on I-40 (Exit 56) opens Monday, Oct. 5. The $44 million job widens the interchange and adds bike lanes. The City plans a ribbon-cutting at 11:30 a.m. with a B-17 flyover.

House Seat

Rep. John G. is not seeking reelection to the Arizona House. The District 30 seat opens when his term ends in January 2027.
