Flood Watch
A Flood Watch covers Kingman through this evening. NWS Las Vegas says heavy showers and storms can flood washes and low spots. Golden Valley and Dolan Springs sit under the same watch.
Water Meeting
City of Kingman and Mohave County hold a joint water task force meeting today at 1:30 p.m. It is at the Public Works Meeting Room at 3700 E. Andy Devine Avenue. Talk covers the drought contingency plan and a Rural Ground Water Steering Committee update. A draft plan is on the city website.
Hospital Stars
Kingman Regional Medical Center earned a 5-star rating on the 2026 Forbes Top Hospitals by State list. Only five Arizona hospitals hit that top mark. Forbes put the most weight on patient outcomes.
Exit 37 Stop
Love’s Travel Stop opened at Exit 37 off I-40 at 3375 W. Griffith Road. The site has 127 truck parking spaces and nine diesel bays. Subway and Buffalo Wild Wings GO are inside.
Police Chase
Kingman police chased a pickup on East Andy Devine Avenue on Sept. 19 after a speed call near 90 in a 40 zone. The truck later struck a marked patrol car at the Zuni RV park. A 56-year-old Kingman man was arrested after a Taser was used.
