Ballot Testing

Mohave County tests ballot tabulation equipment today for the Nov. 3 general election. The county check starts at 9:00 a.m. at 700 W. Beale. The Arizona Secretary of State runs a second test at 2:45 p.m. there. Press and the public can watch both tests.

Water Task Force

City of Kingman and Mohave County hold a joint water task force meeting Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. It is at the Public Works Meeting Room at 3700 E. Andy Devine Avenue. Agenda items include the drought contingency plan and a Rural Ground Water Steering Committee update. A draft plan is posted on the city website.

Interchange Opening

Mohave County Supervisors plan to attend a Flying Fortress Traffic Interchange grand opening Monday, Oct. 5. The site is the I-40 interchange from Parkway to Airway Avenue. No legal action will be taken at that event.

Bulldogs Home

Kingman Bulldogs host Odyssey Institute on Friday, Oct. 2, at 7:00 p.m. The Bulldogs lost 59-21 to River Valley last Friday. They are 2-3 heading into the home game.

A Flood Watch covers Kingman through Tuesday evening. Today showers and storms are likely, high near 74, south southwest wind 9 to 14. Gusts to 24 and a 70 percent rain chance. Tonight low around 55 with an 80 percent rain chance, Tuesday high near 73 with a 50 percent chance.
