Roads Repairs in Kingman AZ for July 2025

By | July 27, 2025

Significant roadwork activity as part of ongoing infrastructure improvements. The Arizona Department of Transportation has continued its $106 million project to construct a free-flowing interchange connecting Interstate 40 and US 93, aimed at reducing congestion and enhancing safety for travelers between Phoenix and Las Vegas.

This initiative, which began last July, includes building new ramps, widening a one-mile stretch of I-40 near Stockton Hill Road, and repairing four bridges.

Nightly lane restrictions on I-40 and US 93 were in effect from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday through Thursday, to accommodate construction, with the project reaching its halfway point by late 2025 and full completion expected in 2027.

Additionally, the City of Kingman advanced its pavement preservation efforts.

A dedicated Public Works team, supported by McCormick Construction, focused on asphalt patching and crack sealing across residential and arterial roads.

This work, part of a $8 million annual investment through 2030, aims to improve road conditions from 40% to over 85% in good condition.

Motorists were advised to expect intermittent lane closures and delays, particularly on Northern Avenue between Stockton Hill and Castle Rock roads, where daytime restrictions occurred.
