KINGMAN, AZ — A man wanted in connection with a multi-day alleged crime spree spanning northern Arizona and Nevada has been captured and is now being held in the Mohave County jail. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) confirmed the apprehension of Jeremiah Johnson on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, following a widespread search involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
Johnson faced a full extradition warrant for his arrest and had eluded authorities across several communities since the incidents began on Friday, December 5.

Timeline of Alleged Events
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the sequence of events attributed to Johnson includes:

  • December 5: Johnson allegedly stole a dirt bike in Mesquite, Nevada, and rode it across the state line to Beaver Dam, Arizona.
  • December 6: A white pickup truck was reported stolen in Beaver Dam early Saturday morning and later found wrecked on Littlefield Lane. Deputies located Johnson at the scene, but he fled on foot into the Virgin River bottom, evading K-9 units and an Arizona DPS helicopter search.
  • December 7: Early Sunday, Johnson allegedly broke into a home in Beaver Dam before deputies arrived. He was spotted again later that afternoon but escaped back into the Virgin River, where K-9 units lost his trail in the water.
  • December 8: A third vehicle was reported stolen in Desert Springs and later found over 70 miles away in Cane Beds. Johnson was seen in the nearby town of Fredonia, but a search of a residence there was unsuccessful.
  • December 9: Johnson was spotted as a passenger in a vehicle near Fredonia. When law enforcement conducted a traffic stop, he again fled on foot, with the K-9 unit losing the track in the water of Kanab Creek.

Apprehension and Next Steps
The extensive search came to a close when the Fredonia Police Department successfully apprehended Johnson on Wednesday. He was transported to the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman, where he is currently being held. Authorities expressed gratitude to the public for their assistance in locating the fugitive. Johnson is described as 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 175 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
The MCSO continues its investigation into the string of incidents. Johnson is presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
