The Extreme Heat Warning, issued by NWS Las Vegas at 4:52 a.m. this morning, covers the Kingman area through tomorrow evening. Residents are urged to limit outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours. Temperatures tonight are expected to rise slightly overnight, staying near 82.
City Hall
Mohave County Attorney Matt Smith has been in discussion with the Board of Supervisors over the constitutionality of Flock traffic cameras deployed in the county. No vote or formal decision has been announced.
The county’s Local Emergency Planning Committee has posted its September 2026 agenda. The committee meets September 2 at 1 p.m. at Bullhead City Fire Station #1.
The Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission has scheduled a public hearing for Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Details on agenda items were not released in the notice.
Around Town
The Mohave County Recorder’s Office is reminding voters to plan ahead for the November 3, 2026, General Election following a recent U.S. Postal Service ruling that could affect mail ballot delivery times. The office says voters should account for additional transit days when mailing ballots back.
Separately, the county is still accepting Letters of Interest from individuals, organizations, and historical societies interested in acquiring or relocating a historic general store on county property. No deadline was specified in the public notice.
