Weather Alerts and Storm Activity:
Severe weather struck central Mohave County, including Kingman, on Wednesday evening. The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, noting potential wind gusts exceeding 58 mph, small hail, and heavy rainfall. A Flood Advisory was also in effect until 11:30 PM MST, warning of possible localized flooding in areas like Kingman, Yucca, and Oatman. Residents were advised to avoid driving through flooded areas. Storms were expected to persist in Kingman for one to three hours after 8:00 PM Wednesday.

Power Outage Reported:
Early Thursday at 3:03 AM, a power outage affected at least 15 homes in Kingman, caused by an issue with UNS Electric, Inc. The utility was working to restore service, but no timeline was provided.City

In observance of Independence Day, all City of Kingman offices will be closed on Friday, July 4.
