
Fatal Collision on U.S. 93
Early Saturday morning, a tragic head-on collision occurred on U.S. 93 near White Hills, approximately 40 miles north of Kingman. A Jeep station wagon traveling north in the southbound lane collided with a Hyundai station wagon, resulting in the deaths of all five individuals involved, including a child. Authorities suspect impairment as a contributing factor to the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
Infrastructure Improvements Underway
The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is making significant strides in enhancing transportation infrastructure in Kingman. The U.S. 93/I-40 interchange project is expected to reach its halfway point this year, aiming to eliminate traffic signals and introduce free-flowing ramps. Additionally, a new project will widen U.S. 93 between Wickenburg and Kingman to a four-lane divided highway, part of a long-term plan to improve the corridor.
