City Council to Discuss Sales Tax Increase
The Kingman City Council is preparing for a pivotal discussion regarding a proposed 0.5% increase in the municipal sales tax. While the official public hearing is scheduled for tomorrow evening, April 7, at the Kingman City Complex, today marks the final preparations for adopting a notice of intent. If approved, the tax would rise from 2.5% to 3%, potentially generating nearly $6 million in annual revenue for city services.
Arguments Open for Mayoral Term Limits
Residents are currently invited to submit formal written arguments for or against a ballot measure that would extend the Mayor’s term to four years. The City Clerk’s Office is accepting submissions through April 22 to be included in the upcoming July election pamphlet.
