Downtown Block Party

First Friday runs tonight from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Beale Street. Theme is 100 Years of Route 66 and Big Hair Bulldogs Reunion. Vendors and food trucks line about First to Sixth with live music all night.

Bulldogs Beat Odyssey

Kingman High beat Odyssey 32-10 on Thursday night at Kingman High. The Bulldogs won at home by 22 points in region play.

Young Marines Dinner

Kingman Young Marines hold their Birthday Ball Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. It is at College Park Community Center at 1990 Jagerson Ave. Tickets cost $10 and include dinner with formal dress.

Fortress Ribbon Monday

Flying Fortress traffic interchange opens with a ribbon cutting Monday around 11 a.m. A B-17 flyover is planned near 11:30 a.m. The plane matches the Flying Fortress name on the new parkway. Ground tours and paid rides are set at Kingman Airport.

Lane Work Pause

ADOT one-lane work on I-40 between Stockton Hill Road and Beale Street runs Monday through Thursday daytime. Work is paused this weekend and resumes next week. Weekend traffic keeps full lanes on that stretch.
