Weather Outlook
Today’s forecast is mostly cloudy skies with a high around 60 degrees and a mild breeze from the southwest. There’s only a 10% chance of rain during the day, which drops to 5% by evening as the clouds clear. Monday will be clear and cooler, with a high of 56 degrees.

Governmental Affairs
Looking ahead to post-holiday business, the Kingman City Council will address pending matters including water fowl regulations and a tax incentive agreement for Hobby Lobby during its meeting on December 2. Budget planning for the 2026 fiscal year is also on the agenda for council’s fall planning and priorities-setting retreat on December 1.

Public safety updates
The Kingman Police Department is continuing its enforcement efforts against impaired driving through a $27,000 grant from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. The department is also celebrating its Property and Evidence Section, which received accreditation in October.

Construction progress
The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is reminding drivers of the continued construction on the I-40 Rancho Santa Fe Parkway project, with work expected to be completed in the summer of 2026. A temporary roadway around the work zone at milepost 56 is in use, and drivers are advised to be cautious and aware of reduced speed limits.

Entertainment and events
Looking ahead to January 2026, the Beale Street Theater will host the iconic folk group The Kingston Trio on Saturday, January 17. The theater also has a rock and roll tribute show on January 9, and the Black Bridge Brewery will feature a performance by The Phantom A.D. on January 17.
