Today’s Weather
Kingman will be sunny and windy today, with a high near 89. The National Weather Service expects south-southwest winds from 21 to 26 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph and patchy blowing dust between noon and 4:00 p.m.

Tonight will be mostly clear with a low around 69. South winds remain breezy at 18 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. There are no active NWS watches, warnings, or advisories for the Kingman forecast zone as of this morning.

City Hall

The City of Kingman lists Friday, September 4, as the last day to file write-in candidate paperwork for the November 3 General Election.

City offices will be closed Monday, September 7, for Labor Day. There will be no residential or commercial trash service Monday, and Monday and Tuesday customers should put their cans out one day late.

Around Town

ADOT’s I-40/US 93 West Kingman interchange work continues today. I-40 is narrowed to one lane between Stockton Hill Road and Beale Street from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with delays of up to about 15 minutes.

Nighttime US 93 closures for rock blasting may also be scheduled on weeknights between the I-40/US 93 interchange and the US 93/State Route 68 interchange. ADOT says any blasting closure will be limited to the 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. window.
