High near 88 with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. South-southwest winds will run 10 to 17 mph, gusting to 26 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

Public Safety

The Mohave County Recorder’s Office is moving ahead on identity verification procedures ahead of the September 11, 2026 implementation of Senate Bill 1479. The office announced it’s taking proactive steps now to get systems and staff in place before the law takes full effect.

Residents who’ve had recent mail-in ballot activity should also know the Recorder’s Office has completed the ballot cure process for additional voters following last month’s election, with final ballots transferred for tabulation.

City Hall

Mohave County is looking for takers on a historic general store. The county put out a call for Letters of Interest from individuals, organizations, historical societies, and other qualified parties interested in acquiring or relocating the structure. No deadline was listed in the notice, but the county is actively seeking responses.

Looking ahead to fall, the Board of Supervisors has posted notice that members may attend the Flying Fortress Traffic Interchange Grand Opening on October 5 and the County Supervisors Association Summit Policy Conference on October 7 and 8.

The Local Workforce Development Board has opened a public comment period for its Local Area Workforce Plan, a two-year modification covering workforce development priorities in the region. The county hasn’t announced a comment deadline publicly yet.

Community Events

The Kingman Library hosted a Family Night on Wednesday evening as part of the America 250 commemoration series. The event ran from 6 to 8 p.m. at the library on 3269 N. Burbank St.
