The City of Kingman announced that crews will be updating lane striping across the city on Tuesday, May 13, and Thursday, May 15, from 5:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Motorists are advised to drive safely and expect minor delays in affected areas.
Recent Incident Follow-Up
Authorities have identified 56-year-old Jack Lagerwey of Kingman as the suspect who died following a SWAT standoff on Friday, May 9. The incident began when Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance at a home on Ty Street, where Lagerwey was reportedly pouring gasoline and brandishing a weapon. He was shot by SWAT officers, detained, and later died at Kingman Regional Medical Center. The Bullhead City Police SWAT team assisted, and the investigation is ongoing.
