Kingman is actively enhancing road safety through a series of pavement marking projects.
From July 28 to July 30, 2025, the Street Division will apply new stop bars—prominent white lines marking where vehicles must stop at intersections—on residential streets near Airway Avenue.
This work, scheduled from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. to avoid extreme heat, aims to improve visibility and safety in neighborhoods.
Drivers may encounter minor traffic disruptions and are urged to exercise caution around work zones, avoiding freshly painted lines that take about 30 seconds to dry depending on conditions.
Additionally, earlier in 2025, Kingman collaborated with Mohave County to conduct lane striping across various city areas on June 2 and 3, from 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
This initiative involved intermittent lane restrictions, with officials advising motorists to stay alert and follow traffic signage to ensure safety for both drivers and workers.
These efforts reflect Kingman’s ongoing commitment to improving roadway and safety for residents and visitors.
