Supervisors Today
Mohave County Board of Supervisors meets today at 9:30 a.m. at 700 W. Beale Street. Airport takeover steps for Laughlin-Bullhead International Airport are on the agenda. So are weed fire-hazard complaints on vacant lots in unincorporated areas.
I-40 Ramps
ADOT closes I-40 ramps overnight at Stockton Hill Road through Thursday for pavement work. Eastbound on-ramp and westbound off-ramp shut from 7 p.m. tonight to 6 a.m. Tuesday. More ramp cuts hit Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Detours use Andy Devine Avenue and Beale Street. Daytime one-lane cuts between Stockton Hill and Beale still run 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Suicide Walk
Mohave Mental Health holds its 2nd Annual Suicide Prevention and Awareness Walk Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lewis Kingman Park on Andy Devine.
Recorder / Voting
Mohave County Recorder requires valid photo ID for in-person document recordings under Arizona SB 1479. The rule took effect Sept. 11. For the Nov. 3 General Election, the Recorder reminds voters early voting runs Oct. 7 through Oct. 30. Voter registration closes Oct. 5. Ballots must be in hand by 7 p.m. Election Day. Early sites in Kingman, Bullhead City, and Lake Havasu are open weekdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Oct. 30 stays open until 7 p.m. Mail, drop-off, or Election Day voting also work.
Drug Walk
Kingman’s 20th Walk Away From Drugs is set for Wednesday, Oct. 21. Walkers meet at 5:30 p.m. at one of three start points and head to Centennial Park. Kingman Police and the Kingman Area Meth Coalition put it on. Free to join. This year adds a drone show.
