Public Safety
The Extreme Heat Warning covers the Kingman area through the weekend. Residents are urged to limit time outdoors during peak afternoon hours. Those without air conditioning should seek a cooling location.
City Hall
The Mohave County Recorder’s Office is moving ahead with preparations for Senate Bill 1479, which takes full effect September 11, 2026. The office began ID verification steps last month ahead of that deadline.
The county is also accepting Letters of Interest from individuals, organizations, and historical societies interested in acquiring or relocating a historic general store. Details are available through Mohave County’s public notices.
The Local Workforce Development Board has opened a public comment period on its Local Area Workforce Plan, specifically a two-year modification. Comments can be submitted through the county.
Community Events
The Kingman Library at 3269 N. Burbank St. is hosting a Family Night on Wednesday, August 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is billed as a celebration of America 250.
Looking further out, the Flying Fortress Traffic Interchange Grand Opening is scheduled for Monday, October 5. Mohave County supervisors have posted a notice of attendance for that event.
