Public Safety
The Extreme Heat Warning took effect at 4:47 AM and covers the area through this evening. Lows tonight won’t offer much relief, with temperatures staying around 79 to 81 degrees and south winds continuing into the overnight hours.
City Hall
The Mohave County Board of Health had a regular meeting scheduled for today, but it’s been canceled. The county announced July 24 that the meeting will be rescheduled at a later date.
Ballot processing from the July 22 election is still underway. The Mohave County Recorder’s Office and Elections Department reported Friday that late early ballot tabulation is complete and provisional ballot review is continuing, consistent with Arizona law.
Around Town
The Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission has a regular meeting set for Wednesday, August 12, at 10:00 AM in the Board of Supervisors Auditorium at 700 West Beale Street. The Board of Supervisors also has a regular meeting scheduled for Monday, August 3, at 9:30 AM in the same location, where a zoning ordinance amendment will be on the agenda.
This Wednesday, July 29, the county is holding a dedication ceremony for the Scenic Overlook ADA Trail at Coyote Pass, starting at 8:30 AM. Board of Supervisors members may be in attendance.
