Kingman Fire Department crews were dispatched to 1650 Franklin Drive at approximately 1:54 a.m. today to confront a heavily involved structure fire. Upon arrival, first responders found a large detached garage fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters operated in a defensive mode, utilizing vertical ventilation and elevated master streams to bring the situation under control. Fortunately, no one was inside the building at the time, and no injuries were reported among fire personnel. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.

Red Flag Warning and Power Precautions
High winds and low humidity have triggered a Red Flag Warning for the Kingman area today, signaling extreme wildfire risk.

With gusts expected to reach between 40 and 50 mph, authorities are urging residents to exercise caution.

In nearby northern Arizona communities, utility providers like Arizona Public Service (APS) have already initiated public safety power shut-offs to thousands of customers to mitigate the danger of wind-driven fires.
