Wild Burro Roundup Begins: The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is scheduled to begin gathering approximately 500 wild burros from the Black Mountain Herd Management Area starting today, April 1. This effort aims to address overpopulation and protect rangeland health. The animals will eventually be processed for the BLM’s Adoption and Sales Program.
Mayor Term Limit Debate: The City of Kingman is currently accepting formal written arguments regarding a proposed change to the Mayor’s term length. Residents have until April 22 to submit their “For” or “Against” statements for the official election pamphlet ahead of the July 21 Primary Election.
Community “Day of Caring” Prep: Volunteers are gearing up for the upcoming Day of Caring on Saturday, April 4. The city and local partners are encouraging residents to sign up for various service projects designed to improve local neighborhoods and parks.
Downtown Festivities Return: Preparation is underway for the season premiere of Downtown Kingman First Fridays. The first event, themed “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles,” will take place this Friday evening, April 3, featuring over 100 local vendors and live entertainment on Beale Street.
