Record-Breaking Heat Grips the Region
Kingman and the surrounding Mohave Desert are experiencing an unseasonably warm spell, with temperatures expected to climb into the low 90s today. This follows a statewide trend of record-breaking heat that is projected to peak later this week before a more moderate cooling trend arrives by the weekend.

Major Narcotics Interdiction on I-40
Authorities recently concluded a significant operation on Interstate 40 near Kingman, where an Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) canine unit discovered approximately 447 pounds of cocaine. The illicit cargo, valued at an estimated $12.1 million, was found hidden during a routine traffic stop of a minivan. Both occupants were taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
