Community Honors Fallen Hero
The Kingman community continues to reflect today following yesterday’s moving tribute to Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) Pilot Robert Skankey. Governor Katie Hobbs joined local residents and law enforcement at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to remember Skankey, a retired Marine and veteran pilot who lost his life during a mission in Flagstaff earlier this month.
A charity BBQ fundraiser to support the families of Skankey and his fellow fallen trooper, Hunter Bennett, is scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 22, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Mohave County Fairgrounds.
