Local law enforcement officials are piecing together the events of a high-speed motorcycle accident that claimed the life of a long-time resident on Sunday evening.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:40 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Andy Devine Avenue.
According to the Kingman Police Department, 75-year-old John Paul Addessi was operating his motorcycle eastbound at a high rate of speed when the crash occurred. He was not wearing a helmet.

Witnesses at the scene reported seeing the motorcycle abruptly shift from the inside lane to the outside lane. During this maneuver, the vehicle struck a curb, causing it to slide out of control along the adjacent sidewalk.
