Local News & Holiday Operations
Holiday Service Paused: In observance of Christmas Day, all City of Kingman government offices are closed today. Regular municipal operations will resume on Friday, December 26.
Sanitation Schedule: There is no residential or commercial trash or recycling collection today. The City’s recycling center is also closed for the holiday.
Transit Service: The Kingman Area Regional Transit (KART) system is not operating today. However, all KART rides will be free on December 31 for Customer Appreciation Day.
Tree Recycling: Starting today, residents can drop off undecorated live Christmas trees for free recycling at the Public Works Building (3700 E. Andy Devine Ave.). The drop-off area is open daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. through January 31.
Road Alert: Looking ahead, city officials have announced nightly closures of Andy Devine Avenue (between 4th and 6th Streets) for utility work starting Monday, December 29, through year-end.

Polar Bear Plunge: Registration is open for the 25th annual dip at Centennial Pool, scheduled for noon on New Year’s Day.
Route 66 Caravan: Kingman will host the Detroit Auto Show Route 66 Centennial Caravan on January 4 and 5.
Rock & Roll Showdown: A tribute battle featuring the music of AC/DC and Ozzy Osbourne is set for January 9 at the Beale Street Theater.
